I see our posts crossed. Glad to hear it. You should be on your way now, although the trip won’t be a cake walk.

Yup, very hard indeed. Like Darla, NHO 7, and I do think that Enigmatist could have given us non-techies a bit more help with that one.
And I’ve completely failed to parse 11 despite having stared at it until my eyes glazed over.
All done, but a real struggle.
FOI 8, which I really liked but which didn’t help as much as I’d hoped.
LOI 11, only because I finally entered it reluctantly as it was the only possible solution, but without parsing it.
COD? Well I liked 23d

It sounds like you got it Geeker, pour yourself a ..........

Darla, you're not kidding. I didn't go out until about 22.00 and was home by 13.15 - what a lightweight I've become 😡😱

rogissimo, with a name like that you should be able to parse 11. 😂
And then you can help me, because that is one of the ones I can’t parse either.

Haha, I see what you mean, darla.
I’ve now partially worked it out with the help of Zio Google.
The first five letters are apparently an acronym for someone who might ride a Vespa in their 50s. Still can’t account for the last two letters though.

Finished with some interwebs assistance (non-kosher, I admit).
COD tie between 3 shorties: 3, 4 and 22.
6 is good, but I've seen it before, maybe even in an Enigmatist puzzle but can't recall that precisely.
Also liked 24 and 12, which latter is practically a gimme by Enigmatist standards :-) .

Still some parsing holes, but that's par for the E. course.

Darla,

11a - If you split it 5, 2 you get an acronym that is then contradicted by the 2 " because part of the definition is "kid".... so not a ?????

Had the wrong 2nd word for 8d (which was a guess), and that kept me from getting the "obvious" 14. 😂
Would never have gotten 7 or 23d unassisted.

Thanks to Enigmatist. Always challenging, but many fun PDM and forehead slaps ("that wasn't really so hard if I'd looked at it the right way") en route, even if the route stops short.

I'm finally in bed but want to give 15d as my COD - quite brilliant.
