I feel totally inadequate. Sunday 2pm and 2 clues filled in. I started yesterday at 10am so must be missing something as you all loved it so much. Nearly at the point of giving up!

Hi Hmmm I know the feeling well but don’t give up.I found the way in from hints on forum about 18a and 26a see Chrise at 25. Depending on how old you are you may remember this from sixties/seventies.. The reference to fellow travellers helped in that across clues can finish 18a . I used this as a help to get the across solutions. In the downs 4 is an American state, 21 is an anagram. Hope this helps!
Once I got started with help from you guys I enjoyed it, thought the use of “fellow travelers” very clever.
Thanks Brockwell if you are still around made a dark stormy day ( waves crashing over the lighthouse which I can see from my window) much brighter.

Thoroughly enjoyed this week's crossword, having to do it by candlelight but still leaving with a Rayburn so fed and warm...

Finished but confused by 15a as I think it's right , nothing else fitting

Help welcome

Read the answer to 15 as 3,4 in reverse…

Everyman was a bit gentle today so decided to put my big boy pants on and try the prize. A real slog, about halfway through, but some real gems of clues.

7d, 24d satisfying in different ways, groaned at 17a loud enough that my family were concerned for my health.

Loved this. Note to self - probably easier to finish if you check you've entered correct spellings... hence 24d took me until this morning (facepalm).
