Well I preferred Paul's horror of last week. I've finished but I'm left with some parsing issues and a bit of cheating.

Parsing issues:
18ac I don't understand where the fellow travellers come in
20ac?
27ac?
1d I think I don't know this 3 letter word for cock, though I'm sure its a source of energy
7d Where do the piggies come in?
14d I can't see what greyfriars bobby had to do with this
29d I can't see why this means sample?
16d don't like the parsing

I didn't know the word in 13d
Thanks for the hints above
FOI was 26ac even though I'd never come across this word before
LOI 14d
COD I liked 30ac and several others
Back to my chores

CAS1957 mine were always moulded but I have seen those. But my biggest regret was I could never afford to buy my own team with my pocket money.

Hi Roof
18a I think "My fellow travellers" refers to the other across clues - this is the clever theme
20a "pool" is misleading. "pond" would be closer
27a I thought I had parsed this, but looking to explain it, my parsing doesn't work. I think the bitter is a type of beer, though
1d you could put "stop" in front of either
7d you must have missed playing the "this little piggy" game!
14d I suppose "Greyfriars" indicates the spelling for the bobby. Not sure though. I expect you know the story of Greyfriars Bobby?
29d "sample" is the inclusion indicator
16d is fine. Double definition - 1st "bailiff", second "on threshold" (a bit loose)

Roof. Hope you're not too windblown.

Look at 18a and the rest of the acrosses.
20a think bigger than a pool. There are many in the NW of England.

14 agree with Chris that Greyfriars is a Scots indicator for the spelling of that bit.

27 anagram (5+1) inside a three letter beer.

Strange one - struggled to make a dent (FOI was 2D after drawing a blank on all the across clues?).

Chipped away and after perusing here was alerted to the link, which meant clearing off a few of the remaining across answers was pretty straightforward. Also fell into the trap with 19D!

13D not a problem for me as a snooker nerd.

Took ages to get LOI 1D.

As many have said, lots of great clues - very elegant. Hard to pick one but I did like 6D and 8D.
