That was a challenging mental workout. I stared at 12d for ages even with all the crossers, before finally dredging the answer from the memory depths! Have a good Sunday.

I think I liked that. A couple of clues were a little too loose for my taste.

Good day everyone. Almost a write in for me, so although last week's I found pretty tough I think I preferred it. Nevertheless, good fun today. No stand out clue for me, some long anagrams. Rhyming pair. Enjoyed 12d but I think my COD is 19a.

22d reminds me I've some DIY to get on with. That's Sunday for you.

I've completed it, but the parsing for 11a eludes me. The only thought I have is that it could possibly sound like a pair of words said in a certain accent? And if it were so, what's the indicator?

I’m afraid that’s it Nhaus. I suppose the indicator is the mention of the individual himself who would talk like that…

I agree, I think it's assumed because of his accent. The only other thing I can think of is... 'dried fruit' 'first name' where the end of the dried fruit is 'n'. Buy that's stretching it.

Ignore my last two posts. Just reread the clue and now realise I've stated the obvious.

11a is the 19a clue I've seen (or heard!) in a very long time
