Good morning each if a day late. But that's how it goes in this domage. We don't pick up the paper until late in the day and long time no post. I've ead all the comments on how easy this was but it's nice to NEARLY finish one off sometimes The 'nearly' applies to 8ac. Have I gone wrong somewhere? I have the letters that point to a long vanished make of car and not far removed from the old resident of Graceland. I can't bring anything else to mind.

Check you’ve entered 1d correctly. It seems your first letter for 8ac is wrong.

Certainly seemed much easier than usual (I only do the Saturday Prize). Foi 23a, Loi 10d, Cod: none very inspiring but 1a was a splendid anagram and7d quite neat. No need to use Crossword Solver or look to this forum for help.

My husband has been feeling defeated by the puzzle of late, but I think he might finish it this week: I worked on a printout and have left him the paper, and he's got all the time in the world to do it(in between blood tests, BP readings etc) as he was admitted to hospital as an emergency (potassium 6.7) on Thurs.

Writing this from hospital cafe, 30 miles from home, just popped off the ward for a coffee. (They shut by the end of visiting hours.)

Sorry to hear your husband is in hospital , hope by now you have good news about his tests. Agree with your comments about COD and like you I only do Saturday prize . All good wishes.
