You have picked out the two I wanted to comment on. I don't get the parsing of 9a, and 13a is simply dreadful!

Chris, in 9 you need to remove a two letter word for happy from a word for caring.

Two letter synonym for happy?

Yes, a very quick solve but I spent some time on parsing 15 before realising that 4 is plural, as it should be. A pity though because I rather liked my original Pauline parse of 4 singular. Thanks to Carpathian for affording me the rare privilege of completing a prize without help from the forum.

It looks to be finally one that I can complete, though I've no time today.

But it's interesting to read comments about the midweek Vlad. Given that I can check clues/letters on the regular cryptic, which I don't usually bother with, I may try the Vlads as training.

Indeed. More like an easy Everyman that one. Thanks to Carpathian because we always appreciate the work setters put in but I think this was a Monday not a Saturday prize.
