0pt0 - it’s an &lit. First four letters is ‘heart, perhaps’ followed by ‘bits’ in the binary/digital sense.

All done, and not much of a grid stare involved. I had an inkling about the theme just from the title- I don’t know why, though.

I’m one of those Listener newbies and it was a pleasure to have been able to complete a puzzle for once. I know that some regulars thought this was easy, but please re that we all have to start somewhere.

I think enjoyability should be the standard more so than level of difficulty, and I really enjoyed this one. I am a huge fan of the theme though. Thanks to Remus.

I agree with you, darla, about enjoyability. I enjoyed this despite the fact that the subject has, amazingly some might say, almost entirely passed me by all these years, thus it was more of a challenge for me than most. I even had to google the character names..!

One loose end - I really can’t parse 26d. Philosopher is definition. Overhauled revolutionary looks like 3 letters, reversed, in the middle, and books the last two letters. That leaves the first two letters unaccounted for?

I enjoyed this, and thought it was very well constructed. Impressive to have all real words in the final grid. My only loose end is that I cannot parse 1 down. I'm sure that I'm missing something obvious - as usual - but a nudge would be appreciated to out me out of my misery.
