The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
HINTS only, please, no answers.

The Theme...
Help with the theme may be sought and given here. Helpers should give just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction - enough to assist a struggling solver, not enough to spoil the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much are likely to be removed.

There are many Listener regulars on the Forum, but newcomers are always welcome.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

Just too easy, I'm afraid. I am fully in favour of introductory Listeners from time to time, which means some easier clues. But the Listener newbie should at least be able to solve the Guardian Prize, for example. Almost all the clues were Daily Telegraph at best.

Have to agree. Took me about 80 minutes so some would have knocked it off in a quarter of an hour.

I loved it!

I often venture here for parsing assistance or to amuse myself at the remarks that appear for the easier ones. My amusement is over though it seems.

With the Times crossword subscription working out at £1.50 per non-numerical Listener (were that to be your only use of that subscription), I am very happy to give any setter massive credit for their time and effort, and if it's an easy one, fair enough. I wouldn't bother venting on a forum about it, but each to their own. Perhaps we can treat the setters with the respect afforded to the crossword itself.

Great title too, as it goes.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree. Far too easy.

But I still couldn't set a puzzle myself...

Thoroughly endorse your remarks about the gratitude that we all owe to the setters

Was it an easy puzzle? Yes
Is there anything wrong with that? Nope

Thanks for setting Remus
