Nobody got my Hiawatha reference @15 but you're such a sweet bunch that I'm not too disappointed 😉😉

I think having an answer like 1a in an Everyman definitely takes it to a slightly tougher level than usual. This took me as long as yesterday's prize and I think I reverted to this forum more than I did yesterday. The old dilemma again whether an Everyman should be an easier entry level solve but I really enjoyed this. Some cheeky misdirection and I loved 5d. I think the three theme is definitely significant. Looking forward to the next 300.

Thanks Crosbie - going back to look at 5d again, I realised I'd got the last letter wrong, which is why I didn't understand the answer! (And why I was thinking of Monty Python's Four Yorkshiremen!)

That was definitely harder than usual but very enjoyable. CODs we're 5D, 11A & 4D, and loved the simplicity of 1D.

As usual I have been bamboozled after solving 5 clues: 10a, 11a, 14a, 15a and 17d.

How on earth do you look at 1a? I’m hoping (no laughing at the back) that if I could solve that it may help with. Few other down clues!

Hi druh6sm. It is an anagram, but very difficult to work out which parts of the clue provide the letters.
