Does anyone know why the website isn't currently (Monday morning October 14th) accepting any submission of answers? I'm getting this response:
"Sorry, this form is not open to new submissions.
The deadline for entering this month's competition has now passed".
I assume it's the usual Grauniad incompetence? How does one contact them?

Funnily enough I twigged that early on. The only one I'm struggling with is 23d. I can't figure out the letter that I know must be the missing one! I have the release and all other answers but the only word I can put in the grid (def: "play better than") contains a three letter word from the clue. What am I not seeing!?

Read from the bottom up. The extra letter is the first letter of a word for “double act”.

Ah of course! I had the right word, just didn't realise that I was being hep in the mid-section. Dunno how I didn't twig the word play for the missing letter either, so thanks Jono for tugging back the curtain for me.
