The clues don’t match the grid. Is this another Grauniad misprint or am I missing what cleverer solvers can see?

Whoops. There are two grids given. The wrong one is in the version solvers are invited to print.

Thanks for spotting that MrCodger. I was just about to make an interactive grid and hadn't bothered to look at whether the clues matched the grid in the pdf version.

Already printed and started then saw wrong grid - bah. I already have the theme - though I will have to Google my Homer for the "summary of the conclusion"". This will be a reverse engineering job!

Finished (including Homer!) except I can't find a word that fits 25 ...

Prospero, a common (crossword) Stop! followed by a three-letter word of agreement, fine, with its middle letter removed. Chambers will confirm the finished word (I hope - I am out).
