Hi Gitto

Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, you were right, I was able to finish it. Although if I hadn’t come here for a bit of inspiration I doubt I would have.

I rate this a pretty good puzzle, cleverly designed, and it was fun to identify the missing/extra letters.

I looked up the organization’s motto, and saw that July 20 was their centenary.

Just finished this one after a busy weekend. Challenging for sure! I filled most of the top half before getting a single letter in the bottom half. Like others I found the themed entries to be the hardest part. Overall I really enjoyed this one. Thanks Raven!

Can anybody help me with 13a - Tide lipped borders walked in Malibu.

I think I know what and where a letter is added but I'm struggling to make sense of it because 6d is also eluding me at present and my parsing of 7d is a bit iffy which makes me nervous.

Thanks all.

Synonym for first word bordered (surrounded) by synonym for second word obtained by adding a letter.

Definition is unusual US word for walked.

Ah! Thank you HW7, I got fixated on the adjusted second word being an indicator to be applied to the first.

Cheers!

Andy, First is the definition. Usual abbreviation for company with a 3 letter French certification acronym. Last word needs adjusting to give an indicator for last part.

I had to grind away at this one but it was definitely worth it. Kept me guessing right up to the end. Thanks, Raven.
