I found this to be an absolute delight, with some very obscure definitions to keep me on my toes.

The one that I needed to get into the NW corner was the "Merseyside Town" clue. I struggled for an hour before the penny dropped. A massive DOH from yours truly since the first 33 years of my life were spent living nowhere further than a couple of miles from the place!!

Enjoyable - completed quite speedily .... but as nobody mentioned it ... I obviously have a blind spot with 'name of the pub'... full grid ... but presume I'm missing something obvious! ..

Crates, I hope this isn't too obvious a question... did you remember just to enter the first letter of the resolved clash answers? Doing that gives a fairly plausible pub name.

Is "European sculptor of US president" a straightforward definition, sans wordplay? I have -R-NKH which ought to be easy enough to complete, but I can't find anyone.

I’m way behind this weekend. Too much real life interfering with getting crosswords done: shocking! And by the time I got to the shop today (I know, a day too late, really) the iWeekend was all gone. If anyone has a scan or link to the IQ I would be pathetically grateful.

Hi Malone - Am away from home at the moment - but recall completing grid - solving theme words - entering initial letters of solved clashes - so expecting 4 letter pub name (which did not appear) ... If that is correct will have to look again when home ... thanks

Your T is not correct. Answer is hidden at intervals in a reversal of letters. (The golfer's heyday was in the 1940s!)
