I didn't know either, but I used Google. It didn't help!

That'll teach me to read the instructions... I gave myself a headache trying to decipher the instruction from the 'correct' letters rather than the wronguns.

Boson, International Vehicle Registration - ie the standard abbreviations for national identity on cars etc.

I've solved about half the clues and my solves I believe include the 6 to be manipulated. The crossers I have for one of the 6 seem to bear no relation to the letters in my solution while for another they do. Hopefully this will become clear as I solve more.

Jack. Is that right? I assume you mean the IVR for a country that will appear after the clue is corrected. According to Google that IVR has two letters. I do not see how that fits with the rest of the word play. ???
