Teewens, I started a separate thread on the demise of the App. You’ll find it below. The answer is we don’t know what will happen to those other puzzles, not to mention personal history, the search function etc. It seems the puzzles editor was blind-sided and found out about it at the same time we did.

I've put it down and still can't get 17A, or 26 A.

Hi Helen,
26a is hidden.
17a is a term for investment in future growth and if you’ve solved every else you may realise that you still need a rhyming pair…

17 might be more common in USA, where it's an old term that seems to be rarely used nowadays.

26a may be hidden but the definition makes no sense.
3d "honours a family"?
thought it was about ancestors.
4a "perhaps clubs"? How?
Anybody?

Quocunque
26a Agree it's a pretty loose definition but I guess, for instance a ----- in boxing is a 'play' punch.
3d Ancestors are relatives, no?
4a Clubs as in weapons. Like guns are fire----.

Thanks for 26A. Still stumped on 17A - it's obviously a phrase I've never heard of. I've got Esther shortly in the middle but can't think of any formal footwear.

Sorted! I cheated and used Google to find the phrase.

The second two are just as loose as the first to me Phil but thanks.
