What a (fun) struggle... not helped that there are a bunch of ambiguous clues that I had in wrong early on.... 'Crips' for 1d (moving S down in Frosty), 'Tens' for 33a being 'scores' to name a couple... and 1a took forever to fall. Glad it's over!
I've come to this late.
Doing OK but yes 1a! Common corvids someone said...?
Also would love help with 29a Latin wits at last save moor in France. (5), and the dust in Fife, and 5d Oriental schooner carrying local riders.(7)
Lumen,
1a. Yes, corvids, but def. is 'danced', with a correction. Only comes up in the singular form in Chambers.
29a. Def. is 'moor in France' (on the coast)
5d. Def is a common word for 'oriental'. Correction in last word.
Thanks mattrom, I didn't expect oriental as definition. The dance is a new one to me!
All done except 14d, have first three letters but no idea what it is.
