Hi Everyone

Well surprisingly for me, I did find this crossword surprisingly easy apart from a couple. I parsed 21d as I see Jazzgirl has suggested. Despite the hints, I haven't managed to parse 10ac. I struggled with 23ac. I assume it is a double definition, but I didn't know the Clyde definition and although I know the other definition for degree, it took me a while to place it. I got 24ac early on which helped me get 3,2. I had some trouble parsing 4d, but then I had the PDM. All this with my back in spasm and my brain dead from the pain killers.

My FOI like others was the dead easy 5ac. My LOI was 26ac/22d. Several CODs - 3/2, 11ac and 20ac, but I also liked 8d that I got from the crossers as one homophone.

I've not understood any of the hints for 10ac. I have a number. Is it right?

Back to my heat pad and resting.

Just got 10a then saw this post. Phew! Golly! G-whizz! Took a while. Some law of diminishing returns crossed with increasing bamboo involved. Ai developers take note.

Wow what an amazing prize for me …it normally takes me until Weds to finish but I did this in 3 hours….Norris McWhirter moment ….i even got a couple of clues whilst watching my little boy playing footy in the rain…loved 10 across the most and the word play in 13/18 made my laugh …..
