roof, for the Kray thing in 5...the first two letters of the solution are the first and last letters (jacket) of either "Reggie" or "Ronnie".

Many thanks Darla and Geeker

I managed to get all the ones I sought hints for before coming back to the computer and have nearly finished - just three to get - 2d and 10ac and 22d.

There have been a number of new words for me and I'm still mystified by some of the parsing. I've just spotted the parsing for 14ac!

Budleigh was delightful. We went to six talks over the three days, all very good. It was lovely to see the sea on a bright and sunny day.

My FOI was 7ac and 9ac
My LOIs will be those mentioned above, and
My CODs were 1d, 7ac, 21d and 2ac.

2d is really tricky with a couple of misdirects. Definition "African" (may be unfamiliar word). Parses as 2 "European country (really, Mr. Farage?) :-)" inside "10" (think outside the box here).

Hi roof.
10 Take outside letters from word for ‘chests’ (stripped) to leave the solution. Chests refers to body.
22d Rather obscure, 5,1 - 5 is an anagram indicated by ‘new’, 1 is a classification

hi docrum
22d is ananagram - not difficult if you have the crossers
22a i didn;t know, but it's a word for playing for money, missing the last letter

Hi docrum.
21a ‘playing in the street’ (think music) less one letter to get a (new to me) word for boot.

Geeker the "European Country" is inaccurate, it describes an island in a European archipelago, but is definitely not a country.
