Yes, this is my first Genius.
I always do the Spectator and finish quite quickly.
I quickly glanced at the clues on this Genius and thought they were easy enough, but the end game, in spite of the hints here, eluded me until this afternoon.
I suddenly found the two words staring at me. 😀

On a personal level I found it about mid-range in terms of difficulty but took a good hour to see the E..... W....

geniuses often use the form as a structure to change content - I'm sure there's some literary term for this but I can't think of it ... well done, jazzgirl - maybe you'll win the prize - if you remember to put the transliterated words into the form.

I never send my crosswords in, as the grids are handwritten on a notepad !

27d is on p896 of the 12th edition. The original comes under the entry for a part of the ear and the revised form comes three entries later - a timber wolf!

you can't submit a grid with the genius - they never got round to gettnig the technology in place. You have to write the clues out in the boxes ...
