2d is a hidden
26 is a homophone, indicated by ‘did you say’ - defn is first word of the clue, you need a word that sounds like something that iron is a type of

4d is a subtraction anagram ( you remove the first letter of one of the fodder words). Cooked is the indicator. That is a long answer which should help with some of the others. I was pleased to do this in 35 minutes (don’t think I will ever do it in 15 that is incredibly fast - 30 seconds per clue to read solve and write the answer in with no mistakes is amazing) though 1d flummoxed me a bit but it couldn’t really be anything else.
Happy Sunday

I seem to be the only one stuck on 24d. Letters: e?a?i?a?e

A few possibilities; none make sense.

Thanks

@catcharmer Your middle letter is wrong, the final four letter word in 15d should be a synonym for "nothing".

15d parses as 2,3,4 - think of "nothing" as in tennis scoring for that final 4-letter word.

Got it now. Never heard of it. Not very good on disco classics. Thanks.

For me last few weeks have followed the same pattern, a quick solve of the majority of the clues, but then the last few took the longest time. Not helped by incorrectly putting recoil as the answer to 1a. It was only when Davel pointed out that 2d is a hidden that I spotted my mistake on 1a

The parsing of 9a looks like a triple homonym, which is clever. I liked 16a. And always nice when the primary is an obscure answer like 6d. Let's see if everyman uses Lettish as a future answer to see if we were paying attention :-)

9a a triple homonym? I still don’t get it and I’m having trouble parsing it

i took 9a as a double definition, with the fist one a bit whimsical
