I’m a bit confused by “LPs” in 25a as I would have thought 45s were referenced, not 33&1/3s!

ianwil - I thought the same thing! Not 100% sure though.

A much more enjoyable workout this morning (even the anagrams). 25a raised a smile. I had the same thought, Ianwil. For what it is worth, of the first four LPs I sampled from my collection, three were designated 'Side 1/2' and one was designated 'Side A/B'! 23a had me reaching for a dictionary and thesaurus and I still think it is a bit of a stretch. Held up by 2d, staring me in the face. Thanks Everyman.

Excellent I thought. 2d was well disguised as we are so used to soldier as an abbreviation. 4a and 5d were equally good. Not so easy a Medium for me. Enjoy your Sunday everyone!🙂

Even for me I am having an absolute shocker.

I cannot state any answers today because I have solved 23a, 6d and 22d.

Can anyone give me a some hints please?

Here's a couple of anagrams

Two anagram indicators are: fashioned and reworked. Look out for similar indicators

12d is fairly straightforward (if you know who the French President is) and it would give you the starting letters for several Across solutions.

First one completely solved for ages though 1d and 8a almost prevented me.
