I have so many questions!

I was convinced SERVER was 4a.

I found this easier than recent Everyman's, but I agree some of the clues were pretty loose. I did get 14a across wrong as I put in a different clobber with the same crossers

After I got 10d I looked it up in my Chambers, annoyingly the answer is not down as a synonym for hurt, but hurt is down as a synonym for the abbreviated version of the answer. So Chambers is inconsistent, but personally I wouldn't use it meaning hurting

For me this was brutally brutal.

I thought EVERYMAN was supposed to be accessible for novices like me?

Unless I am just being completely and moronically thick.
