You’re right Chrise - the bird in question is far from being a duck - more like a gull (though not strictly that either).

Crikey Chris !
I have looked at all my answers and, (apart from the 'duck which I agree is inaccurate) they all parse perfectly

Try looking at your parsing in a different way. Two clues have a ? at the end which indicates kind of a joke

I agree ChrisE, 25a is just plain wrong and the NE corner is eluding me - if 5d is what I think it may be it's a very weak clue, but maybe I have it wrong .... as for 6d, no idea!!

Gave up on 9a and 10d.
Never seen the trick in 9a before
I don't see how the answer to 10d equals hurting.
Also can't parse 8a

Hi chrise. I found this tricky too. I don’t have a problem with 4a, but I don’t like 9a. Chambers gives rely upon for one of the definitions of reckon (who knew?), so I suppose 11a is ok. I don’t have a problem with 16a. 6d is a rather loose definition imo. 10d is an unusual (to me at least) usage of the solution; again, a bit loose. I think we all agree that 25a is an error.
All the best.
