I thought 15d was an anagram, but can't see it. I'll try harder.

I don't think I know the music type in the music case.

The hint for 14 ac just told me the definition, but I'll try again. Same with 13ac.

26 I don't think is entirely fair - it's a nickname.
When you have 23 right, 29 might become easier.

Well, I am having problems with just one clue, which I don't think anyone else has mentioned, suggesting that it isn't a difficult clue, and it's just me being blind. It's 5 down. I have an answer which I think must be right, because it fits what seems to be the definition, the first part of the word play, and all the crossing letters (assuming, of course, that I've got those right) but I don't understand how "hit" fits in. Is there some usage of the second part of the solution that I don't know and which equates to "hit"? Or what?

Oh, I'm getting fed up. I got 15d, but still cannot see 14ac. I have A?T?I?E. Are my letters right? I can see an answer if it starts with E , but that throws 5d.

Similarly, with 13ac. I have ??P?U?E. I can only think of one two letter game and there is no word that will fit.

I have still to get 23d and 26ac, both of which defeat me along with 13d.

OK, I've now found from Wiktionary that the second part of the answer does have the meaning "hit", but I'd never heard of it.

Micky, yes, to hit is to **** (those last four letters)
