Is it online? It doesn't feature in my app this morning so I may have to buy the paper.

I'm really enjoying this one, Jono. About a third of the way through so far. Hats off to Maskarade.

In fact right now I still don't understand the instructions

You'll notice that some clues are longer than the space available in the grid. I found it helpful to start with some of the clues where the answers do fit the grid, to get a few crossers.

Thanks for all your hints. I just dived in and solved 1a and realised what was going on.

As this is not interactive I'll probably wait till later in the week to do it but, for those that are having a go, I recommend 14a as a more gentle way in to the theme.
