Please can someone help me with the parsing of 17a , I have an answer which can mean nibbles, but can't see the rest

Hi Warden it is loose change followed by 2 letter word meaning revolted expression followed by initially seeing.

Fairly tough parsing tricky 18d was a very good clue I thought.

Hello all. Can I please get some help in parsing 16A? I’ve got the solution (I think) through the various crossers and wider subject matter, but the reference to the $sum and graffiti artist are totally bewildering me!
Help ease my troubled mind …..

you're given the 1st letter S, then it's a number , then some roman numerals....

Hi. Stuck on 17a and 18d. Have
c?s?o?? For 17 and ??m?s?n for 18.

I also liked 14 d.

catcharmer, that O is wrong in 17A.

Your letters are correct for 18D.

17A parses as 4 letter "change" + 2 letter "revolted expression" + 1 letter "initially seeing".

18D parses as last letter from 1 of the words + 3 letter "troublemaker" + 3 letter "lad"
