Good fun I thought. Took longer than usual partly because I had 4d wrong, thinking of the wrong sort of chips and the wrong poet.
Don’t see the need for the second ‘about’ in 17d but I like the construction. Perhaps I’m missing something here.
COD for me was 8d which was the theme of a puzzle earlier this year by Philistine if I recall correctly.

Can’t help but think Everyman missed a trick in not linking 4d and 25d :-)

I don't usually do the Everyman, so I can't compare, but I didn't enjoy this. 13a is an odd word. 15 is ambiguous in the last 3 letters - either could be justified. I don't understand the definition for 3d. I suppose 8d could be described as a poem, but it's not what I (or he) would call it.

b for bold in 23 ? How is that justified ?

Typefaces. As an example, see the code tags to the right of the message box when you write a post.

Chris, I agree about poem. Poetic, certainly, but not a poem.

Son1ofrover1, perhaps in word processing/computing where it’s common as a toolbar icon or a keystroke to create bold typeface. Not in the dictionary though as far as I can see

Got about a third out then came to a grinding halt . After 15 mins getting nowhere, did something else and came back to it. After another 15 mins got nothing so looked up the answers and I'm glad I did as I don't think I would have got anymore if I'd spent all day on it. Just not on the wavelength.
I don't get 5d at all .
