I didn't get a chance to start this puzzle until late today, so I was pleased with it being a breeze as I didn't want a late night :)

Thanks warden @21. Online Chambers makes no mention of water and only suggests "by land". Heigh ho!

I did Warden. Everyman does seem to like to link one week’s puzzle to the next with some form of follow-on reference. Going back to the week before last we had EN SUITE which was followed by EN GARDE last week. There have been other examples. Could all be a coincidence of course 😉

I hope at the correct temperature Brendan which I think is body temperature. But I could be wrong there.

Rocky, you'll definitely be less wrong than me, I know nothing about correct protocol regarding the drinking of Sake - so any advice is more than welcome 😜

hi Ethereal,

9a - Your C is wrong - first 3 letters are "massage" reversed/'in retreat' then "good"+ 5 letter "lingerie" - definition is "fine wines.

4d - hidden - definition is "spruce, ever so much"
