I have two qualifiers for the unchecked SE word, not that it really matters. One is not in Chambers, or Quinapalus, but both are acceptable “thematically” (I’ve tried). I presume the intended solution is additionally verifiable in Chambers

Is the answer to this in Chambers? Only 3 words fit my letter patter and one (ending in P) is a nautical term to do with 'sails' but, other than being totally unable to get to it from the clue, it would also mean I'd have a 5 letter down answer with ?TPE? which isn't in Chambers - Help!

Yes, Brendan, ending in P is right. In means at, and look up the last three letters. It suggests one of your other answers is misplaced
