Those four-letter ones were the tricky bits today. Normally, I try the short ones first. 22d (assuming I've got it right) is a new one for me.

23a think of a five letter word for more friendly then remove the first letter. You have to think laterally for the definition to click

Hello! Is 4d an anagram? If so it has an unusual (for me) indicator and I'm not happy with the definition. Which makes me think it's not an anagram.

Thx for the 'cake maker' hint.
