I progressed quickly then to a grinding halt on the shorties. Ironically I need to come here to parse 21; to avoid confusion we don't refer to the edibles by just four letters here.

The Pauline 10A was my first one in, however, so not all the shorties were difficult, although I have a Pauline mindset I suppose ;)

Yesterday's Prize was NOT very Pauline for a Paul puzzle!

I'm always disappointed when I see the word "rectangle" in a clue when they could have gone for my favourite shape/word, "oblong" instead :(

Good day all. Enjoyed this a lot. Found it quite difficult. Though some long anagrams were straightforward and the rhyming pair helped. Not really finished because of the four letter problems of 2d and 23a - cannot see them yet. Smiled at 1a but give 9a my COD. Seem to be getting loads of adverts on this app. Very annoying and am 12a.

Very good I thought. Solved this quickly with only two clues remaining after a first pass which is unusual for me. 6a and 22d held out until the end and I haven’t parsed 2d yet.
Only minor quillet was 11 and 13 being two clues with the same format next to each other, but I’m nitpicking what is an excellent puzzle.

Got 2d now, obvious when you see it!
