Hi Roof Im doing ok on this one….Im normally slow and only finished last weeks this morning…..however unless you have solved them yet 10a is a straightforward anagram and 7 down a common double meaning…

Ignore my last post, as Brendan was referring to the informal meaning (easy answers )

Many thanks for your support Tony

I have got 10ac, the easy anagram, and 6ac from Jazzgirls hint. I think I also have 25ac. I shall now go through them again. I hope to switch my brain on this time.

Well everyone

I've been sitting in the garden trying to get more, but my brain is addled. I've got some but not many. I need help. Perhaps I could have a few hints; 12 ac all I have is ??? ???T ??? and I have no ideas.

I'm convinced that 18ac must be an anagram, but I can't make it work. Even where there are hints on the thread, I don't seem to be able to solve the clues (e,g,16d). I still haven't got 13ac (no letters at all - is it an anagram?) or 8d (two letters only) so I'm a way off getting the theme. Despite the hint I haven't got 16d or even 15d. Please can I have some hints for these. I know I'm greedy, but I can't understand why I'm struggling. I've got my glass of wine now, so maybe something will click.

Hi Roof,

I hope you're enjoying a peaceful afternoon in your garden:-)

12a - 4 letter "threesome" around 2 letter "man" then 4 letter "delicacy" - definition is "what disciplinarians read" (to someone rather than for themselves)

18a - 6 letter "outdid" around 4 letter "art gallery" - definition is "trialled" (as an initial consumer might do for a software update)

For 12a think of something that people say they are going to read to someone they are telling off

I'm also not finding this as straightforward as others did. Took me ages to get the theme and it's been slow and steady ever since. Anythings for 1d would help me. I'm not seeing it.
