Thanks, Everyman.
Nice puzzle, but not quite as good as last week's, which was very strong.
FOI 6, LOI 23.
COD 19d narrowly over 4 (both excellent); also liked 11 and 20.
Noticed a rhyming pair, foreign phrase, (remarkably long) first letters clue, a homophone and a Spoonerism, so all the standards save alliteration (not expected, it generally substitutes for a missing rhyming pair) are present.
A couple of 4-letter clues perhaps slightly trite, but I liked 2 and 23.

It's interesting that two clues would have worked as Spoonerisms although Everyman chose to use conventional wordplay for one of them. Perhaps one per puzzle is the limit of good taste. I think my COD would be 17a though.

I suspect 8d should read ‘over’ rather than ‘overt’

Alab19. Me too. Almost. I logged in about 3 hours ago and could not see a thread. Felt a bit lost. Had updated my device overnight and thought I'd lost all sorts of links. Also was still not finished so decided to snooze and return. That pause seems to help. Done it a few times recently. So returned and finished. Quite enjoyed this week's. COD 17a and 26a. Agree that some of the 4 letter words are not great. The primarily was too much for me but having seen the rhyming pair it got me my LOI 11a and 4d. Wishing you all a good day.

Far too many tenuous clues this week, IMO, such as 1A's 'move' and 5D's 'city', which in combination made it difficult to get started (esp. given the tricky but fair 2D), and 14D's 'coverage', which made it equally hard to finish! On the other hand, 13D and 16A were fun and the Spoonerism was better than usual.

Not as good as usual. I have question marks of various sorts against 11a, 15a, 17a, 1d, and 8d.

I haven't got 23a - any hints, please?

Just checking - I have S?E?. Is that right? I could add "coverage" in 14d to my list of question marks!
