Full grid, sorting out the message, so needing to double-check some of Aragon's - in places - rather wild and woolly parsing to ensure I've guessed the right misprints for the message from the song (which I haven't yet guessed); in particular,
1) 'Cheers on gunners... ': the 989 battle looks as though it should be
980? - something else happened peaceably in 989, but at Dublin, not ****. Or am I not getting the nuance?
2) Also, totally foxed by '1019 Uruguayan documentary pieces...' as a definition, although I know the entry, can see it clearly defined in the wordplay, and there is indeed a famous one in Montevideo...
Any discreet hints to better understanding will be appreciated.
