8a - Themed clue. You'll kick yourself, it's just an anagram.

6d - single letter "one" inside/consumed by 5 letter "passions" - answer is a word that can go after both 'meat' and 'sugar'.

I thought 8ac must be an anagram of Lemon, but I could only think of another fruit. I'm not sure if I've got the the theme (lots still to do). Are both 11d and 21d themes? I've got them. I can't think of a theme of lemon for 8ac that is similar to them.

Similarly Brendan said 16,15 is a theme. I'm assuming it is an anagram of nomads. Is it a proper noun?

My FOI was 28ac. Chrise, I've never liked Boatman.

I've wasted a lot of time on 20d failing to solve it. I have ????R?N? Can I have a hint please? How many thematic answers am I looking for?

7 is thematic, parses as 4, 5.
20 is thematic, parses as 5, 2, 1 where 5 is the river name.

Thematic 7 is known for having a strong smell, if that helps.
