Sorry, mine was a typo. I guess I didn't hit the 0 key hard enough. I know who the theologian is now though. And I was familiar with the ff instead of th thing. In fact, I had a student from around there a few years ago, and one day I insisted he said "free" instead of "three," but he denied it. He was over here to play "football" and was a big Arsenal fan.

Considering the subtlety of 11, I have to raise my opinion of the puzzle. Thanks to Everyman.

I agree that overall this was relatively easy. I think I finished last week's in record time though, so not quite as easy as that, but much easier than yesterday's Prize, of course, being that Paul was responsible for that.

I once had a cigarette card coupon promising "3 free three hour video tapes" which did not work well for me lol.

As I said it's not just a London thing it's just a speech impediment I think. I once dated a speech therapist student and she tried to teach me how to say it but I couldn't do it!

Maffs is fun anyway, as I always say.

Was also good to see Henry's Cat's arch nemesis make an appearance:

Luckily I am able to say the, these, and though though, which is handy since from being from near Liverpool we do love our "dey do do don't dey do"s (see - "Yellow Submarine" movie). I say and type "though" though way too much though, don't I though? I've taken to abbreviating it to tho though to save time.

Football is a better name than handegg though, I think you must agree.

I have heard of a free group/module in maths I hope you don't also have to deal with 3-groups or 3-modules that would be a nightmare, I'd have to use floor(pi) instead then.

Definitely one of the easier Everymen for me, first pass on the top half wasn't great but the bottom half was almost a straight write-in.
I've got 1a from the definition and second part but what am I missing for the first part? I'm sure it must be obvious but I can't just can't see it.

Chfish,
I suppose you could substitute the first part in a sentence such as
"If I had that time back, I'd....."
So both are synonyms of 'again'

All I have for 12 are the crossers. I can't figure out the definition or any parsing that makes any sense. Don't see the second word for 13. Like Geeker I can't explain 1a. 10a had me stumped but after it's been explained I can say that is one of the best clues I've seen for a long while.
Strangely the remainder were more or less right ins.
