Well, to the bottom of the class for me! Filled the grid quickly but burgered if I can see the 22 despite staring at the grid for half an hour. Need to put it down as it's giving me a headache. Maybe look again in the cold (and wet) light of day.

My previous post (5) was completely off the mark because I am with simond9x on this one. Is the post at 14 a hint towards the theme or simply a red herring?

Well, cold light of day did it for me. I was trying too hard to find something that wasn't there.

It’s a shame when it takes longer to solve a post (simplesimon 14) than the actual crossword .. what are we all to do with the rest of Saturday??
