I think the jury is still out on the last letter for 28A but they don't need to deliver a verdict for another 2 weeks ...... meanwhile i just want to point out what a neat clue 1A is: 'People are pruning every European tree'. Succinct or what ?

I think 13d has a letter at the end and refers to a very well known publication and 28a ends in a D.
This gives instructions as to how to get to 2525

I think I've managed to fill the grid correctly now, but am stumped by "enumerations indicate lengths of clues' "full" solutions". Only 13D offers promise (t-- r---- t---- ?). Hints would be welcome...
