All done with some guesswork but can anyone give me a pointer to the parsing of 11a ? The answer is clear from the definition and crossers but the parsing has defeated me.

11a: if add letters ‘in’ after the second letter, it means unplanned.

Warden for 8a you need to remove a prefix for synonym for bootlegging. E.G. Greek Steak and Kidney

Warden 8a is a reductive clue. Find another word for bootlegging then subtract a mathematical number as per my earlier hint, the answer is a synonym for suggestive.

In the recording industry (both audio and video), the pre-reduction solution of 8 is commonly used as a synonym for "bootlegging".

Younger son home so knocked it off together in ten minutes or so before getting stuck on parsing of 8a. Thanks to the Forum for explaining that, very clever clue. Unusually we had a go at yesterday's prize and that took 3 passes and probably a couple of hours so a completely different kettle of fish. Good to see many familiar contributors to yesterday's Forum as well.

Quite tricky today, the typo did not help, and I didn't refresh the website to see if it had been corrected. Got there in the end though without needing any solvers, but quite a lot of thesaurus usage was required.
