Ahh. Thank you, Geeker. I wondered if the second word was "capitalized."

Thanks guys. Not sure how you get 7 + 5 letters for the 10 letter 26a (I'm sure it was a typo) but I agree that the 3-letter is a bit lame - especially as it suggests an extra s. That's what confused me. I had no problem with the 7-letter part. Thanks again.

Sorry, it was me; Brendan had the count right for 26. I meant "3-letter (dubious IMO) syn of a 5-letter word in clue".

Hi all,
Finally got round to the coffee so I can do this.
Initial clue there but I cannot find the rhyming pair.
A real mixed bag and my problems sound like everyone else’s.
Yes, I did find it harder than usual. I noticed he used the same device in 2d & 19d.

I had a tough time figuring out 13a. Thanks to the hints here, I realised that they dropped their aitches!

I found it a bit more difficult than the usual Everyman too. I will confess to using the hints for 13d, or I might have stared at it all night. There wasn’t much worthy of a COD in my eyes.

+1 for the “slightly more difficult” observation but none the worse for it. 13d also my LOI and I agree re the dubious synonym in 26a.

Unless I’m missing something, I think worried instead of upset would have preserved the surface. Still, it wasn’t much of a troubling clue given all the crossers and the actress…

COD probably 4d although it did give me shudders at how today at the Oval might go.

Hi everyone. Seems I’m not the only one who struggled a bit with this one! I found it about the same level of difficulty as yesterday’s prize. For some reason, it took me ages to unscramble 11d, despite understanding how the clue worked and that it was some kind of terpsichorean (a word I learned yesterday 😉) activity.

FOI 2d, LOI 13d. Plenty of good clues IMO, I liked 12a, 16a, but my COD is 4d.

Can anyone help me with the parsing of 24a - I think it’s a good clue but it would make more sense to me if it were the first stanza rather than the ninth. What am I missing?

All the best to all!
