18d the spelling is clear from the clue. All up - 3 letter word from Greek alphabet, the contraction in the clue, single letter intro of. My Chambers App doesn't give this as a noun. Incidently, what does the ellipsis at the start indicate?

Hi Fop, my Chamber’s app does give it as a noun and I think this is the better interpretation. The ellipsis is just to merge the surface with the previous clue in this case I think

After 1st pass I new the Spooner would be LOi. I'm pretty sure what the dogs are. But I am word blind, or is it deaf, to Spoonerisms

I initially thought the answer was the verb (post 2) but prefer Alzy's explanation using the Noun. One of the online dictionaries that I use (Merriam Webster) lists the answer as both a noun and a verb.

Having said that I think both explanations are OK.

There's an issue with 19D, isn't there -- maybe what Geeker means by 'a typo'? Everyman's should indicate 'my' not 'i' in the solution, shouldn't it? But if this were changed to Everyman, the surface would be ruined. So did the setter just decide to gloss over it?

Jono and Fop
The COD lists the answer to 18D as an old version of what is now the much more common noun.

Thanks Phil, I agree 19d does seem careless and very easy to fix… e.g.
Wobbly, pudgy, round Everyman! Diet's beginning – let's go

Fop - applying the Spoonerism gives you two different foodstuffs which are popular in Middle Eastern cuisine. It’s an unusual Spoonerism in that you usually get a phrase or a saying out of it, whereas in this case it’s just two different edibles.

Overall I really enjoyed this Everyman.
