I’d been going along nicely, but have come to a standstill. I guess my next step is to find 10d. But I can’t see how to proceed. I have the final digit of the entry. Can anyone hint as to how to get on, please?

Cloverjo, it’s hard to know exactly where you are on your logical journey but it may help you to know that the digit sum of the ANSWER to 10 down is 27.

I am struggling with this one. I have narrowed removed primes D, L and S down to a choice of two each and have a wider choice for C, G, M, N, Q, V, W and Y, but cannot see the way forward from there. A hint as to where I should be looking would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid I have very little enthusiasm for numerical puzzles, and in this case there seems to be no entry apart from brute force. If I were competent at coding I could no doubt set up a process to solve this by listing, but I am not. Looking forward to next week. In the meantime I will do some proper mathematics, which is my metier.

0pt0, 15 across is definitely a way into the puzzle. It should yield one solution for D, L and S. A a clue, all three of these primes are under 50.

Opt0, if you consider the minimum value of the last digit of 10 down, you'll see there's only one possibility for 15 across.

Bashed throught this but found it a bit of a slog, to be honest. There seemed to be a few steps where you had a process quite a lot of sums in order to check possibilities so I resorted to Excel for those.

It's possible that there was a more elegant way to solve it but I had my jab yesterday so everything is a bit foggy today.

Anyway, thank you Zag as I do find numericals are a nice change of pace!
