Look for the first word of its name (it's quite prominent) and consider the unicycle's shape...

I've deleted 3 names (5,6,5), but I can't make sense of my correct letters, nor can I find the item. Also, I can't parse 40a, and is the correct letter in 13d "A"?

Gitto, for 40 A, the definition is the first two words. The 'square' is mathematical, and 'eastern tip' leads you to a letter. Recalled means the usual....

Thanks Malone and Loge, now to continue grid staring. 40a is clever once it is understood - I had the right answer but I do not think I would have unravelled the clue.
