Yes it is, Brendan.

Suzannah, FRAP is a dialect word for to strike, from which F is removed (19A)

37: word for jaw with the initial M removed to give the answer

My dearest Brendan and Loge:

Thanks for the help. That means I don't have to pull out any more of my hair. (Bald wouldn't suit me!) I did look up Jaxilla in the dictionary more than once, but not maxilla. As for frap, well... I'll forgive myself for not knowing that.

Right! Just the proverb to go, then you might see me over on the Listener thread. I'm missing something completely on that one, despite having most of the answers and a good understanding of the theme.

I'm late starting this one. I see the same 'Aussie bird' crops up in EV 1481, and should have been a write-in for me, but was my last in.
I only have 7 clashes, missing where the 'D' goes?

Hi Mattrom,

The D goes in 14a/11d.

Thanks Malone.

Maybe you can help me with my last two in the EV - the 8d and crossing 15a.

15a - H??S and 8d ?RI?C? - I'm going round in circles!!

Okay, I've just got 8d that leaves ....

15a - H?AS

I can see a word that means "stop" but now the "interminable cough" part.

Hi again,
15a is a rustic word for a cough, minus the last letter. The sort of stops you'd be more likely to say to a horse.
8d. the I is inserted to a word for an extent of land. A homophone for how one might describe some earth-moving machinery.
