Hi Chris,

21a - 3 letter word for "Everyman's" (contraction of Everyman has) inside/"wearing" 3 letters from/"on and off" "clergy"

Surprised to see no one else had trouble with 17D. Am I right in thinking it's just a case of lifting almost a whole word from the clue and tagging a bit on the end? Terrible clue if that's the case. That aside, though, one of Everyman's better efforts I thought. Agree 9A is terrific.
Jono, re 21A: Three letters from clergy (indicated by on and off) around the setter declaring he has something.

Ahh, thanks Chris and Brendan. Amazing what one can sometimes fail to see. Ludicrously, I was bamboozled by using a different vowel in the second word!

13a yes we have the same answer. It was just that the word for spout as well as going round the aliens is also the first word of the answer if you see what I mean. Not all that important
