Morning all,
Interesting to see insights on 10a and 25a below which were the exact same two clues I finished with unparsed. Both very good now I see them. Overall this went very quickly for me, even while watching the cricket. No complaints though, another fun puzzle from Everyman to start Sunday

... and no “a little/touch of/drop of” first letter indicators (following three last week) which will please some. Maybe Everyman’s been reading the comments ;-)

Brendan, believe it or not, I had a complaint that you gave away an answer by mentioning the name of the pale ale.

Reading the rest of the thread, it is obvious that you don’t usually do this so I ?......? out the name of the ale. If anyone wants the answer, you’ll have to Google it!

And all before 7.30am on a Sunday morning.....

Personally, I forgive Brendan fully because i was stuck on the southern half of the puzzle. And after getting 25a I made progress. Also that gave me an aha moment and I like the clue. Enough to give it my CoD. FoI was 1a which must be a first for me. LoI was 23a because I just couldn't remember the name even though
I could see the packet in my minds eye . So good to be enjoying this puzzle after the inauguration. Breathing a sigh of relief here.

Yevrah, Interesting choice of user name - nothing interesting about it, it’s the name on my birth certificate and the only first name I have, otherwise I would have changed it, I’ve never liked it.

Exactly the same experience for me - 10a and 25a unparsed until I came here, now favoruiets. 25 in particular is brilliant!
