Good morning all. I too enjoyed today’s offering. And like a lot of you the SE corner caused and is still causing me problems. Any help with 21d and 24a greatly appreciated.

Also I can’t parse 17a for the life of me.

i think i've gone wrong somewhere at the top. my 7d fits the definition, but i don't see any vandalism; my 8d is a very loose definition for "in disguise"; and i'm stuck on 12a and 4d.
my letters for 12a are l???e?i?g,?p - are these right?

i'm ok with 22d, but 21a doesn't work for me, if i've got it right.

Smog, yes, I also confidently entered grip on the first pass which works with tense as a definition and also appears ‘regularly’, through me off for a bit.

7d - It's really more graffiti than vandalism but that's splitting hairs.

Hi ChrisE, your letters are correct for 12a. 4d is hidden inside the clue.

12a - Your letters are correct - 4 letters for "leg" + single letter for "start of exercise" + 4 letters for "circular motion" + 2 letters for "elevation" - I think it's an &Lit clue

4d - Is hidden.

21d Is another &Lit - I think! 2 letters for "type of light" + 2 letters for "starts to enter and animals"

I’d agree with Mattrom’s earlier count of 5 ‘potential’ &Lit clues, and on that basis 12a and 21d would be among them

Thanks jono. 12a can only be one thing now, but I can still only see the "leg".
Even if it's graffiti in 7d, I still don't see it.
I'm also unconvinced by 13d and 18d

18d: the first four letters mean wound or blemish.
