This thread looked a little forlorn, so I've bumped it up.

I can’t seem to understand the wordplay in 35. Onions for heads losing first letter gives NIONS but how does the extra T for tackling work? Many thanks.
Apart from that all done. I do think it’s a shame that there is no festive element in the puzzle this year.

perhaps old is an extra word.
