Thank Quisling, I'd been a bit sloppy in my recording of the themed clues and missed out 3d and 33d. Sigh. Just getting a bit tired I think...2020 has worn me down!

Hi everyone. I'm late getting on to finishing this, and can see the theme and references but struggling with 1 ac. I can't make WI work to give a W, but have ***dyled (to give the word defined by bent pins with the oval addition), with dyed for imbued, LC for St Lucia, yielding a C. Is this wrong? I can't see how the C then makes it work. Any help appreciated.

WL is the abbreviation (international vehicle reg stuff) for St Lucia.

I've just come back to this after putting it aside for a few days but think I may have run into trouble....

I've omitted what I thought was the "consumption" part of 1a and just got what I thought was the God in 11a, unfortunately that means 5d begins LM?? - is that right?

Okay, I think I had the wrong God.

7a - The answer seems likes it should be S(outhern) with a 5 letter Cambodian minus M(obile) and the extra letter, presumably the H but I've scoured (see what I there 😉) Chambers and other dictionaries but the word does not mean "young fish" - where have I gone wrong?

It’s a thematic clue, Brendan. So it needs an addition to create the young fish

PS. 15a - I cant see the extra letter - E(nglish) + 3 letters for "information" and 2 letters for "church" - unless it's a single letter for "early" but I can't see what that would be?

PPS - 2d - Assuming the "assembly" is a 4 letter parliament with the T as extra and A is from the clue, how do the last 2 letters = "wife"?
