All completed but for the "activity" in the grid on the far right, I can't seem to find anywhere in the book or online where it appears in that form - it's only ending "et" or "etted" ?

Also, 20a and 21d - I have the answers and the extra letters but can't see the wordplay.

Think it is the variant spelling

20A - I’ve got a word meaning a measurement of variable length reversed in a larger measurement

21D - think this is is set up to confuse but think you have F removed from a word that can mean wing (hidden away in Chambers) followed by a headless word for group

Yes - the word appears in the book, but spelt with one ‘t’.

Re 21D - yes, collective nouns for plovers and keys respectively, with first letters x2 missing

Glad everyone’s doing so well! About 75% myself, gappy in SW, so tips appreciated for 28d or 35a.

35a - an 11 letter word for 'straightening teeth' (+'s) minus its 5 letter prefix [around] 'last of me[n]' ('n' is extra).

28 - Extra letter is removed from the last word and what remains is the start of the answer.
